He began writing poetry on a regular basis at the age of 16, taking his initial inspiration from Dylan Thomas. There were a few gaps over the years especially whilst his visual art was predominant with production and exhibitions.
The years 1995 to 2002 saw a return of his poetry revolving around the landscape of Dartmoor, the spirit of place and the passing of time and ages of man ('Hymns To The Goddess').
Circumstances caused a cessation of writing commencing in July 2005. But he hopes to return to creativity in the not too distant future.
